Most enjoyable site. I found your site while searching for POW camps in Scotland. I have been to Cultybraggen (Camp 21) many times and believe that it still stands pretty much as it was during the war. It is still used by ACF CCf etc. I think |

May I express my gratitude to all those who have made so much effort in creating this site. I was raised in Llanharan and , as a seven -year old, I still remember the excitement that I experienced on Sunday, 11th. Mar. 1945 when I watched truckloads of soldiers arrive in order to search for the escaped prisoners. Best Wishes, Norman Woodcock, Welshpool. |

| Found this site by chance. Reminded me of the time I lived in Camp 154 as a child of two after the war. The camp was used to rehome local families due to housing shortage. Happy Days. Thanks for the memory. |

Really enjoyed the text and pictures-especially of Helmut Guettler. At one time the Hitler family name was Huettler or so I've read. |

| THis brings back many happy memories for me. Whilst attending the Police Dog School at Bridgend, we used to use Island Farm for training and I found it fascinating. I too am a WW2 enthusiast but I am interested in it from the German point of view. I photographed all the drawings on the walls the last time I was there as a permanent reminder. Thank you for all the trouble you have taken to get the information correct. A SUPERB WEBSITE! |

This is a very informative site. I am interested in informations about camp 18, Featherstone Park, Haltwhistle, Northumbria. My father (*1915), was a german POW there. He was brought there as a member of 319. Inf. Div. on the channel island of Guernsey. In his inheritance I found some Photographs of Camp activities like prisoner's theatre ... My father got a job training as a tailor in camp 18 and I found some souveniers of this time (patterns, tape measure ...) Rgds Monika |

Excellent site, I found all the facts very interesting, the whole 30sand 40s is a fascinating time in History, and it should be preserved, for future generations to grasp the gravity of the demise of civility in Europe in the 30s40s |
