Hello There are a number of oral history collections which include interviews with ex-POWs (German & Italian) held in camps in the UK. A list can be found here: http://www.recollectionsofwwii.co.uk/page26.htm(You'll need to scroll down for the German POWs). There aren't any POW interviews specifically for Shropshire, but the Shropshire Archives (http://www.recollectionsofwwii.co.uk/page13.htm#SHR) do have an oral history collection which may contain further information of use.
